Bradley R. Markey is a commercial lawyer, practicing since 1993. He received his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Public Relations and his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from the University of Florida. Mr. Markey is a shareholder of the Firm.
Upon graduation, Mr. Markey joined the law firm of Smith, Hulsey & Busey as a member of its commercial litigation department. In this capacity, he represented individuals and businesses in a broad range of commercial matters including representing the Florida Department of Insurance in receivership and liquidation matters, asserting and defending claims involving fraud, bankruptcy matters, collection matters and business torts.
After seven years with Smith Hulsey & Busey, Mr. Markey joined the Firm as an associate, specializing in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, collections work and bankruptcy.
Mr. Markey is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of Florida (1993) and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (1997). He is a member of The Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Markey is also active in the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
